A connected status does not guarantee that the device is the active media output. Compare call and media profiles separately.
AirPods connected but no sound? First select AirPods as the active audio output and raise the device volume. Then confirm both earbuds are charging, test each side, and re-pair or reset only if those basic checks fail.
When Android says a Bluetooth speaker, headset, or car is connected but music is silent, confirm volume on both devices, select the accessory as the media output, and enable Media audio in the saved-device settings before removing the pairing or resetting networks.
Audio may still be routed to the iPhone, another device, a call profile, or a muted output even though the Bluetooth accessory shows connected.
The progress bar can move while audio is routed to another device, muted by the system or app mixer, controlled by Spotify Connect, or blocked by an audio driver or app state.
